On the left hand side of this message you will see a navigation tool bar. You will see pages entitled:

I will be adding new pages as I send you information. The first page for you to look at is titled Common Core Standards-Social Studies. You will see a brief description of important items to consider when taking a look at the common core standards. You will also see an attachment. This attachment includes an overview of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) document. This overview is for the entire document, but it includes pertinent information. You will also see the CCSS for Literacy in HIstory/Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects 6-12. You will want to review this document prior to curriculum writing. You will be focusing on the center column which higilights what the litereacy expectations are for History/Social Studies in grades 9-10.
At the top of the page there is a disucssion tab. In this tab, we can have a discussion regarding questions/concers. I have added a discussion thread for you to respond to so you understand how the function works. Click on the discussion tab, click on the subject, read the question, and respond by typing your thoughts in the reply box, finally click on post to post share your asnwer/thoughts.
